WHORROR CAMP CONTESTANT APPLICATION

CRITERIA

Contestants must prepare a presentation look based on whore, horror camp, or a mixture them both. This can include characters from horror movies, whore movies (Pretty Woman), or your own creation of a mixture.

Contestants will need to provide a typed bio to be read during Presentation.

Please include a description of your Presentation look, fun facts about yourself and answer the question “How would you best represent the title of Miss Barfly?”.

• JUDGES' DECISIONS ARE FINAL

• POINTS ARE DEDUCTED (DURING FINAL TABULATION) IF CONTESTANT LEAVES THE STAGE OR DOES NOT ABIDE BY THE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA GIVEN TO THEM

Camp Pageants demand poise, projection, personality, and above all else entertainment skills. As a contestant you should be confident, have good eye contact with the judges and audience, and have personality that gets the judge’s attention. It is also important to consider how well you as a contestant keep to the pageant theme of Miss Whorror Camp.

Here is a breakdown of scores in the following categories:

• Presentation: 20 points

  • Contestants should prepare a short description or who/what their presentation is that will be read by the host during their presentation category. Music will be provided by DJ.

• Talent: 20 points

  • Contestants have a 5-minute time limit on their talent. If they go over the 5 minutes, 5 points will be deducted off their overall score during final tabulation. Talent should be original, comedic, creative, and really wow the judges and audience. Acts involving fire or animals are prohibited and will result in disqualification.

• Swimwear: 20 points

  • Contestants should prepare a short description of their swimwear to be read by host during their swimwear category. Be creative and stick to the theme Miss Whorror Camp.

• Question & Answer: 10 points

  • Contestant will draw a random question to answer on stage during swimwear category.

• Fundraising: 30 points

  • Contestants have the opportunity to raise funds prior to Pageant night. On their own time, contestants may raise funds any way they can think of as long as it’s legal. All funds must be turned in on pageant night (Saturday August 15^th) by 6pm to Baby Dee. Points will be awarded based on who raises the most funds.

    • First Place: 30 Points

    • Second Place: 25 points

    • Third Place: 20 Points

    • All other contestants: 15 Points

ALL PRESENTATION DESCRIPTIONS, SWIMWEAR DESCRIPTIONS, AND TALENT MUSIC MUST BE EMAILED TO SHOWDIRECTOR@THEARMORETTES.COM BY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12TH AT 8PM.

IF THESE ARE NOT EMAILED BY THE DEADLINE THEN YOU MAY NOT COMPETE IN THE PAGEANT.
